Imagery is very dense and compelling. Dark and disturbing world of dispare and extreme cruelty. Humans live thousands of years with little hope, love or excitement. All is bleak and there seems to be little or no hope. Much what is created is a real downer, but I must say all that negativity and brutality is in service of the story the author wants to tell. No feel-good takeaway here, but very engaging.
Non stop pathos! If medical science ever gets the power to grant everlasting life to people the far future in this book is probable. And its not pretty.
This book is filled with all the disgusting traits mankind exhibits, just read the papers and watch TV. I couldn't put it down! There is no place for the young and mentally healthy this book. ABANDON ALL HOPE.
