This book is a problem. I kind of think authors shouldn’t be able to publish series books until the entire series is FINISHED because waiting in between is pure torture. Amazon, let me know when the series is complete. I guess all seven wolves are going to get their own stories? That’s mixed news. The good part is that I can’t wait for that because the first book has teased me into a frenzy. The horrible, very bad, part is that I CAN’T WAIT FOR THAT!!

This book had be right from the start! I never wanted to put it down. I love the inter-dimensional travel that happens right from the start. These two are made for each other! I cannot believe how it ended. I know that I will be reading the second book in this series. Victoria always catches my interest in all her books but this book surprised me in so many good ways. It was so HOT that I NEED the next book. I NEED MORE of this "PACK". I can't believe the twist and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat. LOVED this book!
Wonderful, exciting new series from my favorite author. This new world Danann has created is complex yet simple. Characters are real and make you feel like a part of the story. There are some mysteries and a sweet romance that turns hot. Werewolves and humans living so close makes for a turn of plot that will make your head spin. I can hardly wait for the next book to continue the story. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
A wonderful new series by Victoria Danann. That is such exciting news. And what a great start to the series. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what happened next.

As we can expect from Victoria Danann, there is great world building . Her characters are fascinating and complex. I love spending time with them and it's so easy to care about them.

This story is about a group of shifters from another realm who are trying to survive on earth among humans. The central characters are a shifter named Nick and Reese, the woman who catches his attention. Their courtship and love is so compelling. I especially like Reese, who is so full of surprises. I kept cheering for her. She is strong, adaptable, and amazing.

The danger that faces them is very real. I really hated the villains. This does end on a cliff hanger of sorts. Even if it didn't, I would be eager to read the next one. Write faster, Victoria.
When I finished reading the prologue, I commented to a friend that I could write a review on Stalk at that time. When I was about 25% through the book, I “knew” how this one was going to end.

When I was at the final part of Stalk I was reminded – This is a Victoria Danann book! Whatever you thought you knew was wrong. She does not do “predictable” books.

So now about the book – It is about werewolves, sort of. It is about the thrill of the hunt, maybe. It is about a story to be told in coming books and if Stalk is any indication, it will be two things 1-Unpredictable (in a good way) until the final book is written. 2-One of the top series of books the author has written and if you’re a fan of Victoria Danann, you know that is saying a lot.
Me? I am glad I jumped in on book #1 because I would hate to miss this journey. You just get in now, it looks to be quite a trip! Why isn’t there a 5-star-plus rating for books like this?
This book ends at the 68% point. Making it more like 180 pages and not the 270 listed. The rest is filler. I didn’t bother to read it. If you are going to pad your book be kind and honest enough to inform your readers that almost 1/3 of the book is bonus content. The story itself is good, 4 Stars but I’m taking a star off after what I feel is a deception on the part of the author. I don’t know if I will buy the second book. I will look for more forthright authors that honestly list the number of pages in the story itself and not bonus content that I have no interest in. Buyer Beware.
I always love Victoria's books because you get all the feels, the characters are always interesting and engaging. With the start of this new series you get that and more. I just wish the book lasted longer. I love how she takes you to a different place and for a moment you can just lose yourself.
I don’t like being deceived. I like Victoria’s writing and I have really enjoyed the Knights of the Black Swan series among other books of hers that I have read. This book was also enjoyable and I think the series will be good. However, I don’t like that the book ended abruptly and an excerpt of another book is tacked on the end. The page numbers indicated their was more to Stalk and to me, that is deceptive. I wish all authors would stop this deceptive tactic. It appears to me that they are trying to pad the size of their books by tacking on old material at the end. These under 200 page books feels like the author is being lazy or trying to get more money out of the reader because then they have to purchase more books to finish the story. Any way you look at it, it feels manipulative and dishonest.
