The Undesirable eBook S Celi Sara Celi

Imagine a world were anyone with flaws, anyone who did not submit, was considered an undesirable. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to hear the screams of your next door neighbors as they are rounded up for treason. This is Charlotte Walker's life; her nightmare; and she wants to wake up.

S. Celi has invented a world that is not far from the realm of reality. A world that has lost its faith, depleted it's resources, and is afraid to speak out for what is right. The Undesirable takes you on a journey of one woman's quest for self-discovery, justice, and understanding in a world were nothing makes sense. Charlotte is just a girl who is afraid of what is happening around her. Her mother was murdered, the only person who has ever cared about her hates her know, and she is suppose to be the answer to The War.

S. Celi weaves a futuristic tale of a lost girl who slowly finds purpose in a world gone made. Through her superlative writing her characters will win you over and have you standing by their side as they fight for the freedoms that we take for granted everyday. The Undesirable is an eye opening tale that makes you question everything that you have seen, everything that you have been told. It is time for you to make a stand, what side will you choose?

The Undesirable eBook S Celi Sara Celi Reviews

The Undesirable (#1) is the grand opening to a new series by an amazingly talented and soon-to-be household name, S. Celi.

Featuring a plot-driven blend of suspense and romance, this superb tale of a cruel and unrelenting dystopian society is a must-read for all ages. Brilliantly plotted and perfectly paced, this engrossing storyline features a strong female protagonist, Charlotte, who lived a less than ideal life with an alcoholic mother and truant father. Thrust into the national spotlight (and scrutiny) through a strange and awe-inspiring revelation, Charlotte matures throughout the book to become just the heroine that is required.

The Undesirable is a fascinating tale of life, love and freedom. Occupied by well-developed, three-dimensional characters, this is a superb tale of adventure, political suspense, and romance.
Check out this developing series! It is not in line with the plots of the Hunger Games and Divergent series, though. The Undesirables Series has broken the mold. With a great plot, realistic characters and plenty of suspense...this is a great read! Having grown up in the Ohio region where the book takes place, I actually could picture myself walking along with Charlotte and the other characters. It scared me to imagine myself as one of the characters (as dystopian novels leave me feeling very unsettled about the great unknown that lies ahead of us), but the fact that I could place myself in the book with the characters speaks to S. Celi's fantastic writing ability. Well worth my time! Wonder who is going to play Charlotte in the movie version...(I can only hope!).
While this story is set in the future, its plot bears some relevance to today as we Americans debate whether the government already interferes and controls too much in our lives and those who think it needs to do more. Celi blends some extreme views from both sides of the argument together into a fairly believable, albeit grim, not-so-far-away future (my toddler son would be 62 in the time set of this story). I like that the young heroes are portrayed in a way where we don't forget they're as yet under 20, but without forcing a bunch of senseless slang into their lingo, and their toughness comes through without them seeming mouthy - they're regular small-town kids fresh out of high school. There were a couple of technical errors and a few editing ones, but I'm a technical reader and such things distract me. I daresay many, if not most readers will gloss right over them. This was a great quick read with fast-paced action and just enough romance, perfect for those between heavier novels. I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to the next installment!
WOW!!! This book is unbelievably great. A fast fun read. There is darkness in the town of Harrison, OH. when "The Party" comes to town. The Party controls the government since the States are at war with Canada over oil.
The lead character Charlotte (who lives with her Mother who likes to hit the sauce so to speak) has an unmistakable interest in Fostino. I am so pulling for them, they are a match they just don't know it yet...or maybe they do and just don't want to face the truth yet, we shall see
I can not wait for the next book to see what happens with them and their romance which is growing sweetly day by day.
Great job...KUDO's to Sara!!!!!
Thanks for such a remarkably great, page turning, sitting on the edge of my chair, couldn't put down til the end book!!
LOVED THE UNDESIRABLE!!
Set in the distant future, a young woman finds herself in the midst of political chaos and takeover of her hometown. The ruling political party systematically begins to close down the city and weed out those they deem "undesirable" by an ever-changing set of standards. As the noose around the city grows tighter, she learns a valuable secret about her parentage. How she chooses to use the knowledge and whether or not to risk everything for love are the main questions of the book.

I did like this book for a couple of reasons. It's a very plausible story idea and the ease in which the actions take place could very well happen today, tomorrow or in a few dozen years. That gives it a very chilling aspect. The twists were also well thought out and used in just the right places. The only reason I didn't love this book was the changing of verb tenses through chapters and sometimes paragraphs. It jarred me out of the story for a moment but I am happy that I was able to pick back up fairly quickly. Good job!
